El proyecto “Soñando el bosque” habla de la experiencia efímera de parase frente a un árbol; de la experiencia incorpórea de recordar la naturaleza. La tercera pieza de la serie es una video-instalación.

La acción tiene lugar en un paraje desolado por el frío. Los árboles sólo mantienen su ramas desnudas en pie. La acción es un ritual, una danza, donde el cuerpo utiliza un artefacto que sirve para recordar la vida del bosque. El artefacto o prótesis, es una estructura de madera que soporta en su parte superior una seda que contiene el recuerdo de un bosque frondoso. Como si fuera una filtro, el cuerpo observa el bosque a través de él y superpone hojas frondosas sobre los esqueléticos troncos del paisaje. La acción de recordar el bosque se impulsa por la música, una canción de instrumentos de viento. El vídeo ralentizado muestra en cámara lenta cada detalle de la acción. 

La video-performance se proyecta sobre capas y capas de seda de diferentes texturas. Este entretelar de seda se cuelga sobre un tubo de latón que a su vez va colgado del techo. Las capas de seda le dan a la imagen en movimiento una tridimensionalidad fragmentando la imagen y replicándola en las distintas dimensiones expandiendo su reflejo.

Esta obra se ha realizado dentro del International Art Program PILOTENKUECHE y ha sido financiada por la «Becas de residencia en el extranjero para jóvenes artistas» de la Comunidad de Madrid.

The project «Dreaming the Forest» speaks of the ephemeral experience of standing in front of a tree; of the incorporeal experience of remembering nature. The third piece in the series is a video installation.

The action takes place in a desolate place because of the cold. The trees only keep their bare branches standing. The action is a ritual, a dance, where the body uses an artefact that serves to remind us of the life of the forest. The artefact or prosthesis is a wooden structure that supports a silk on its upper part that contains the memory of a leafy forest. As if it were a filter, the body observes the forest through it and superimposes leafy leaves on the skeletal trunks of the landscape. The action of remembering the forest is driven by music, a song of wind instruments. The slow motion video shows every detail of the action in slow motion.

The video-performance is projected on layers and layers of silk of different textures. This silk interlining is hung over a brass tube which in turn is hung from the ceiling. The layers of silk give the moving image a three-dimensionality by fragmenting the image and replicating it in the different dimensions expanding its reflection.
